I'm going to help her buy a wig online that she wants. She doesn't have a card so I buy it for her with mine and then she just pays me the money in cash. Tis all good. :D We love wigs...ahhhhhhhhhhh XDDDDDDDDDDDD I've never actually cosplayed anyone and used my real hair. o__o; Hrm.
So excited. My friend Keika even said if she can, she'd do Akito (she's going as Leon from Tales of Destiny) but she really liked FruitsBasket so yeah. Her hair is just like Yuki's but she can't stand him..and Akito looks kind of like him so yeah. XD It's too bad we don't have a Hatori. I think he's cool D:. Especially since he's best friends with Ayame and Shigure.
Yeah, most people are nice and don't pick out imperfections in my cosplay either. But it still bothers me.
ReplyDeleteUsing your real hair for a cosplay is kinda cool, since wigs are hot and sometimes itchy, but it's a pain to style, especially since you can't just style it and leave it on a Styrofoam head like you can with a wig, haha.

I started the mask. I'm not sure if I like it or not though, haha, I think I made the end of the nose too wide.. Oh well, I'll probably just finish it and re-do it if it really bothers me. All of the materials only totaled about five bucks (less, actually), so it's not like it was a huge dent in my wallet. Now the bloomers, those cost a pretty penny. I think it was the yard of fabric I bought for them. Oh well, now I have more white fabric for my Chi dress. ^-^
ReplyDeleteLucky that your wigs don't itch.. I've only used one and it made me sweat a lot, which I think made my forehead right along the hair line itch. Well, that and I was allergic to the makeup I used, even though I tested it more than twenty-four hours in advanced and had no reaction T_T
Oh, wow, I didn't even think about my Tohru cosplay. I haven't worn her in a while =O Only twice. Once at the first convention I cosplayed to, and once for the photoshoot. I need a new blue jacket for her though because mine's far from being the right material. I really need to wear Amaterasu again though, haha, I've spent over $200 on her and only wore her once. D=
