I would want to be Kai~! -Cries- I just wish I had her accent....grrr...and the cute voice! I try but fail. At least, in my opinion, I do.
No cosplay work done. I broke the needle on my sewing machine while trying to alter a pair of my grandpa's jeans. I wasn't careful enough on the thick areas. I have more at my dad's house, so I'll replace the broken one tomorrow.
For now...you all can look at these pretty Kai pictures. I say pretty because Stephanie (my sister) did an amazing job and I love the photos! :]]

I swear, every time I see a good Kai cosplay picture on Cosplay.com, it's YOU! lol I realized today that I actually found one of your pictures online like a year ago and showed it to my friend going "Look at the awesome Kai!" Haha life is funny..
ReplyDeleteAnd it's okay, I don't think I mentioned where I live. I'm in Fremont, over in the SF East Bay. Kin-Yoobi is held at Chabot College in Hayward every summer, usually the second week of August.
Having a sewing class is very much teh awesome. I learned a lot, and applied most of it to cosplaying (roll hems, for example, saved a jacket I made).
For my group cosplay, I'm wanting like nine people (we have four now, plus two unconfirmed) for an Eeveelution (Pokemon) cosplay. I designed the entire group on a whim and then shoved it away in my cosplay binder, thinking it would never see the light of day again. Then at Holiday Anime Faire last week, I got contact info for a girl who I'd met at a convention before, and her and her friend (who I'd also hung out with at the conventions) joined up with my cosplay group =D Making us a whole five people!!! =O! lol That's a lot for me. Most I've had is four, and I kicked one out because of some serious drama.
Oh, good luck at Fanime! =O I'll cheer you on in the masquerade! =D
Ah, I read something on a forum on Cosplay.com talking about how there should be a cosplay channel, I think it's reality show ('cause every channel needs one) would be about convention hotel drama, haha. And / or following a new cosplayer each week on their daily cosplay life. I'd so watch that =D

ReplyDeleteI always want to mess with the people at JoAnn's, but I never do. I'm a little on the shy side sometimes X= Especially when it comes to cosplay.
And, yeah, the group is all of Eevee's evolutions in matching school uniforms. I'm still tweaking the designs, the one I posted was my first design for Eevee, but I've changed it since then. xD I just want an excuse to make fuzzy feet. =/
I would totally do a human-form wolf Link lol But I've never done a full-body fursuit before =/ It is my dream cosplay, but I don't think I'm ready yet o.o
ReplyDeleteStill, though, sounds like an awesome group =D I always have trouble with people bailing too =[ For Fanime 09, I actually had planned a Death Note cosplay group with L, Light, Matt, Mello, Ryuk, and Misa, and we started on our costumes MONTHS in advance, only to have Ryuk and Misa ditch us and Mello ran off with someone else at the con. Which left me (L) handcuffed to my ex (Light), with my boyfriend (Matt). It was awkward~!
